Sign up for Instagram with a temporary e-mail.
Instagram asks for a mobile number or an e-mail address when you create an account and sends a confirmation code to it. With vSMS you use a temporary e-mail address for that code, and your personal inbox and number stay off the account.
No code? Your credits come back automatically.
The right option for Instagram.
Choose E-mail. Instagram sends its confirmation code to the address, and vSMS shows it to you as soon as it lands. Instagram also offers sign-up by mobile number, but for Instagram the e-mail route is the one we recommend.
Temporary e-mail
Use the address in Instagram's sign-up form, and the code it sends appears in vSMS.
Your Instagram code in three steps.
Get an address
In vSMS, switch to E-mail and pick Instagram. You get a working address for the sign-up window.
Sign up with e-mail
In Instagram, choose to sign up with an e-mail address instead of a mobile number, and paste the vSMS address.
Enter the code
Instagram's confirmation code appears in vSMS. If none arrives in time, your credits come back.
Good to know before you start.
- Keep vSMS open while Instagram sends the code. The address only receives mail during its window.
- Choose a strong password while you sign up. It is what you'll sign back in with later.
- If Instagram ever asks to confirm a phone number, a number you keep fits better than a temporary one.
