Get your X code without your own number.
X, formerly Twitter, can ask for a phone number when you sign up or when it wants to confirm your account, and sends a code to it by text. vSMS gives you a temporary number for that code.
No code? Your credits come back automatically.
The right option for X (Twitter).
Use Number. Pick X in vSMS, choose a country, and enter the number where X asks for a phone. The code X texts appears in vSMS.
Temporary number
Pick a country, use the number in X (Twitter), and the text with the code appears in vSMS.
Your X (Twitter) code in three steps.
Get a number
In vSMS, pick X and a country for the number.
Enter it on X
Where X asks for a phone number, enter the vSMS number with its country code and send the code.
Confirm
The code appears in vSMS. Type it into X. If none arrives in time, your credits come back.
Good to know before you start.
- Have the number open in vSMS before you ask X to send the code.
- If X offers e-mail as another way to confirm, you can use your own address for sign-in and keep only the number temporary.
- A temporary number won't receive later codes, so don't rely on it for two-factor sign-in on X.
